In accordance with Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act passed in the year 1995, a board namely Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination was constituted. Examinations are conducted every year by this board to admit students in professional courses in Engineering, Medical and Agricultural streams in colleges located in Bihar. Students who wish to gain admission in vocational courses at Graduate level in Medical and Engineering field should fill BCECE Application Form.

Important Dates to keep in Mind

# Application Form Sale Commences from- December Last Week, 2012

# Application Form Sale Closes on- January Last Week, 2013

# Application Form Receipt Last Date- February First Week, 2013

# First Phase Examination Date- 20th to 25th day of April, 2013

# Second Phase Examination Date- June 2013


Academic Criteria

# Candidates who are interested to appear for this examination should clear 10+2 or Senior Secondary or any other equivalent qualification with Chemistry, Physics and Maths as subjects

# The candidates who are either appearing for the Senior Secondary examination or waiting for the result can also appear for this examination

Age Related Criteria

# There is no minimum limit of age in case of Pharmacy and Engineering courses

# The minimum age of a candidate interested to join medical stream is seventeen years as on or before 31st day of December, 2012

# The minimum age of a candidate interested to join agriculture stream is seventeen years as on or before 1st day of July, 2012

Pattern of Examination

# There will be three papers in the examination- Chemistry, Physics and Maths

# Duration of the examination is – 60 minutes

# The questions asked in the papers will pertain to the Intermediate level

# Questions will be asked in English Language

Seat Reservation

# Schedule Tribe- 10 percent

# Schedule Caste- 14 percent

# Backward Classes- 10 percent

# Armed Personnel Children- 1 percent

# Selection is done on the basis of merit

# Examination is held in two batches

# Usually in the months of May or June, these examinations are conducted
