UPPGMEE Exam 2014 Entrance Exam Dates and Application Process
The UPPGMEE (Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam) is the qualifying exam to get admissions in the different post graduate level courses in medicine as well as dentistry for the candidates applying to this exam. The entrance exam is organized every year by the King George’s Medical University Lucknow for providing admissions to the qualified and eligible candidates in the following courses- MD (Doctorate of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery) and MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) respectively.
Given below are the details of the eligibility and entrance exam including selection and the application procedure for all the interested applicants to go through for participating in the concerned entrance exam.
UPPGMEE 2014 Exam Details:
The Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam is organized by the King George’s Medical University, initially called as the Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University, for all the eligible candidates wishing to enroll themselves in the following courses- MD/ MS/ MDS/ PG Diploma in KG Medical University/ UP State Medical Colleges & Institutes. The exam for the current session has been scheduled to be held on 22nd March 2014 for all the applicants. The online application for the exam has been already announced at the website for the candidates to participate in the concerned exam.
Eligibility for UPPGMEE 2014:
The applicants should have passed their qualifying exam i.e. MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) or BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from any state level recognized medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. Those candidates who have passed the qualifying degree exam from the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences Dehradun and are resident of the region with completion of compulsory rotating internship by 30th May 2014 are also eligible for this entrance exam.
Paper Pattern of UPPGMEE 2014:
The candidates will be required to qualify in the entrance exam which will be based on objective type questions having multiple choice questions on the following subjects:
Number of Questions asked subject- wise:
Para –Clinical subjects- 90 Questions
Clinical subjects- 90 questions
Comprehension- 10 questions
Total Number of Questions: 190
Total Marks: 200
There will be three sections with 90 questions in each section. There will be no negative marking in the question paper. For each correct question, the candidates will be awarded 2 marks. The questions raised in the exam will be based on the syllabus of the MBBS/ BDS level as per the books prescribed by the Medical Council of India for this purpose.

Admit Card/ Hall Tickets:
The candidates can download their Admit Cards for the exam from the website of UPPGMEE 2014. The downloading window is expected to come at the website around 15th March 2014. The candidates can also avail offline admit cards from the UPPGMEE 2014 Offices from 21st March 2014 on making a payment of Rs100 for this purpose.
Applying Details for UPPGMEE 2014:
The candidates should apply online at the website of the university i.e. kgmu.org. The online applications must be made only once as multiple applications will tend to cancel the candidature of the applicants.
The applicants will have to pay the following amounts as the application fee: Rs.1800 + transaction charges (through online modes of payment) and Rs.1800 + Rs50 /20 (Bank Charges) payable at any branches of Axis Bank / Allahabad Bank. The candidates are advised to retain a copy of their filled in application forms to be used in future for any correspondence purposes.
The candidates must use their recent scanned image of photograph and signature respectively in their online application forms.
