Ans. The University Grants Commission (UGC)-NET is a test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for two roles:
Assistant Professor: This qualification allows individuals to teach in Indian universities and colleges.
Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor: Candidates who qualify for both roles are eligible for JRF awards as well as Assistant Professorship.

Ans. UGC-NET is held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

Ans. UGC-NET is conducted twice a year in June and December.
