The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) conducts its admissions through the common entrance exam every year in different under graduate and post graduate courses in engineering and technology. The admissions to the BE/ B.Tech courses are done on the basis of marks obtained in the JEE (Joint Engineering Entrance) Main Exam by the institute.
Established in June 1961, the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology was initially one of the 17 Regional Engineering Colleges brought into existence by the joint venture of Government of Gujarat and Government of India respectively. The college has been given the status of a deemed to be university by government subsequently in order to broaden its area of functioning. The institute is notable for its research and higher education studies in the following major disciplines: Applied Mechanics, Applied Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering respectively.
Admit Cards for Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat Entrance Examinations 2014:
The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat invites admission every year to its UG Courses through the Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (JEE). The applicants will hence get their admit card online from the official website of JEE Main at jeemain.nic.in. The candidates who get selected will be required to appear in CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) for online counseling and seat allotment respectively. The counseling for this academic session has been already conducted in the July-August months.
The applicants applying for admissions will be required to submit all the necessary documents of eligibility proof including score cards and admit cards for JEE Main 2014 to the concerned reporting centres.
