SSC Exam Date 2015 declared for CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) Examination
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will be conducting very soon the combined competitive examination all over India for the recruitment to Group- C posts of Data Entry Operator in the Pay Band-1 Grade Pay- Rs 2400 and Lower Division Clerk in Pay Band -1 Grade Pay- Rs 1900 under different central government ministries/ departments/ offices respectively. The candidates who have applied for the concerned examination may go through complete details of eligibility, selection and pattern of examination for concerned recruitment from here below.
The minimum eligibility for participating in the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination 2015 is 12th standard passed from any recognized Boards/ Universities in India. The candidates will be required to pass the objective type written exam and skill test / typing test for Data Entry Operator post respectively.

Name of Exam: Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination
Conducting Authority: Staff Selection Commission
Eligibility of Exam:
Candidates who are Intermediate/ Class 12th passed from any central/ state Boards of Secondary Education in India and falling in the age group of 18 to 27 years as on 1st August 2014 shall be eligible to apply.
Pattern of Exam:
The candidates shall pass the written examination and skill test for the post of Data Entry Operators and written test and typing test for the post of Lower Division Clerks on computers.
Scheme of Written Examination-
Part I: General Intelligence (50 Questions) – 50 Marks
Part II: English Language (50 Questions) – 50 Marks
Part III: Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill) 50 Questions- 50 Marks
Part IV: General Awareness (50 Questions) – 50 Marks
Total Time Allotted: 2 Hours (2 Hours 40 Minutes for Visually Impaired)
The candidates shall be penalized in the form of 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer attempted by them.
Scheme of Skill Test for Data Entry Operators-
Data Entry Speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour on computer shall be the basis of exam. Correct entry of words/ key depressions in 15 minutes duration for English Typing having 2000- 2200 strokes/ key depressions shall be required. The Data Entry Speed Skill Test shall be only qualifying in nature.
Scheme of Typing Test for Lower Division Clerk-
The typing test shall be done in either of the languages Hindi or English. The speed shall be judged done on the basis of accuracy in typing on computers for 10 minutes; 35 words per minute in case of English Medium and 30 words per minute for Hindi Medium respectively.
