Karnataka CET Exam Pattern

Karnataka CET Application Form is available online as well as offline from schools located in Karnataka. This common entrance test is the perfect platform for gaining admission in some of the best colleges in Karnataka. The students who are either studying in standard 12th or passed this examination can fill Karnataka CET Application Form. The application form is also available along with brochure. Details of the Application Form

# The fees for the application form need to be submitted through a DD

# The application fees is INR 650 only for general category

# The application fees need to be paid in advance and the same need to be addressed in favour of “The Executive Director” Examination Authority of Karnataka CET

# Students belonging to the Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe need to pay INR 500 only

# Students residing abroad can also ask for the Application Form through payment of Application Fees and Brochure charges of Rupees 5000 only

Important Points to Note Before Applying for Karnataka CET:

• A candidate will not be eligible to apply for the CET if he/ she has already allotted a seat in the previous years of examinations in any of the colleges controlled under Karnataka Examination Authority

• The students living outside this state, like Gadinadu, other candidates from the state and Horanadu who have passed the qualifying examination are also eligible for the entrance examination

• The applicants must fill up the application form in all respects in order to be considered for appearing the examination

• The seats will be allotted on a Merit Ranking basis

Procedure for Application:

• The application must be sent through a envelope of 25 cm x 30 cm size (cloth lined envelops are preferred)

• The envelop should be self addressed

• A demand draft must be attached with the application form with requisite fees

• The application form need to be submitted along with necessary documents supporting the eligibility criteria offered by the Examination Authority of Karnataka

Dates of Availability of Application Form:

Tentative date for availability of application brochure: Last week of March, 2013

Important Changes for the year 2012-13:

• From 2012-13 the candidates are required to fill options for their chosen colleges online through the website of Karnataka Examination Authority at http://www.kar.nic.in

• Verification of documents prior to selection will be done at more than 10 notified Helpline centres, whose details will be made available on the above website in its due course

• The document verification for special category candidates will be done through the office of the KEA at 18th Cross at Malleswaram, Bangalore

• The seats will be made available through the competent percentage of marks, preference offered by the candidates and as per the availability of seats in the concerned colleges.
