JMIEEE Exam Pattern 2014 for Admissions to BE/ B.Tech Courses

The Jamia Millia Islamia Engineering Entrance Exam (JMIEEE) is held every year for students availing admissions to the under graduate level engineering courses of the Jamia Millia Islamia university including –Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology courses of the university. The university invites admissions through the common entrance exam- JMIEEE in the paper pencil modes in English Language only. Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates should have completed Intermediate/ Class 12th from any recognized central/ state Boards of India with a minimum of 50% marks in the following subjects- Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry respectively. The qualifying age of all the applicants should be 17 and 23 years respectively for appearing in this exam.

Pattern of Examination:

The Jamia Millia Islamia Engineering Entrance Exam shall consist of objective type questions of multiple choices on the following topics as given below:

1. Physics (55 Marks)

2. Chemistry (55 Marks) and

3. Mathematics (60 Marks)

Total Number of Questions: 170

Total Marks Allotted: 170

Duration of Exam: 180 Minutes/ 3 Hours

Marking Scheme:

The candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer attempted by them while there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong attempts made by them. Since, there is negative marking in the exam; hence, the candidates should attempt only those questions about which they are sure.

Those candidates who qualify in the written exam shall be called to attend the Interview to get finally selected in the courses offered by the university.
