The University Institute of Engineering and Technology has been established in the year 1996 as an autonomous institute of the Kanpur University. The institute provides admission in the following courses: Engineering & Technology; Computer Applications; Science (Bioinformatics); and other courses available at the under graduate as well as post graduate levels respectively.

1. Bachelor of Technology (Computer Science and Engineering)
2. Bachelor of Technology (Electrical Engineering)
3. Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical Engineering)
4. Bachelor of Technology (Chemical Engineering)
5. Bachelor of Technology (Information Technology)
6. Bachelor of Technology (Material Science and Metallurgy) respectively
7. Master of Science (Electronics and Bioinformatics)
8. Master of Philosophy (Basic Sciences)
The applicants will be required to appear and qualify in the state technical university admission test as conducted by the GBTU (Gautama Buddha Technical University) in the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry respectively.
Applicants successfully qualifying in the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam in the required cut off marks and ranks shall be called in the Counseling scheduled to be held by the university on the dates specified after the results are announced for the UPSEE Exam.
