IGNOU OPENMAT 2012 is the Indira Gandhi National Open University Admission to the Management program for the year 2013. It is an MBA entrance exam and vital to a good vocation in a distance education mode.
Criteria for Eligibility
Any candidate who has completed his or her graduation with 50% aggregate marks in any stream is eligible to appear for the exam. A minimum score of 45% is required for candidates falling under the reserved categories. A candidate having a Bachelor’s degree with an experience of three years of supervisory, managerial or professional experience is also eligible to appear for the exam.
Besides this those clearing the MAT or CAT or State level test for programs in management do not have to appear the OPENMAT exam. A student from another country staying in India can appear if for the course duration enrolled a student visa that is valid enough is submitted.
Applying For the Course
Forms can be availed from branches of IGNOU all over India. Candidates are provided with a prospectus and handbook. A fee of Rs.500 has to be paid online or DD can be drawn in favor of IGNOU and sent by speed or registered post to IGNOU without any documents.
The exam dates are scheduled 19, August 2012. Programs offered have delivery systems aided by technology and multi-media design which are offered through the network countrywide. For the diploma and degree programs in management the university will take admissions from January 2013 and July 2013 by conducting the entrance test IGNOU OPENMAT scheduled all over the country on 19th August 2013.

Duration of the IGNOU OPENMAT Exam 2012 is around 3 hours in which 200 questions of objective types are asked. The syllabus includes, reasoning, English language, quantitative aptitude, and general awareness.
