DUSET exam 2013

Today even in medical field there are many options for specialization to pursue for. For candidates it is very important to have clear idea and focus about their career. In medical field candidates who all are interested to pursue DM and M.Ch. course will have to go through Delhi University Super Specialty Entrance Test (DUSET). DUSET exams are conducted by Delhi University. In the year 2013 it was conducted on 2nd June 2013 and 3rd June 2013.

Eligibility criteria:

•Applying candidate must have cleared MBBS exam and he/ she should also have completed one year rotating internship.
•Candidate has to be registered with State Medical Council, Medical Council of India or Delhi Medical Council.
•Candidates applying for any of the DM course should have cleared MD in medicine, pediatrics, Pulmonary Medicine, DNB Medicine or DNB.
•Candidates applying for M.Ch. course in Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Gastro-enterology, and Pediatrics Surgery & Neuro-Surgery should have passed either MS surgery or DNB surgery.
•To get admission candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks in the entrance exam.

Exam pattern:

This is an objective type of exam. This exam is divided into three parts.

•Paper one comprises of 80 questions and each question carries four marks. Candidates have to complete firs section in two hours time.
•Paper two is for candidates appearing for DM course. This paper comprises of 120 questions and each question carries four marks. This paper has to be completed in 120 minutes of time.
•Paper three is for candidates who have applied for M.Ch. course. Even this paper consists of 120 questions to be completed in 120 minutes and each question carries four marks.
•There is a negative marking for DUSET exam. For every wrong answer one mark will be deducted.

•Date of DUSET exam 2013 – 2nd & 3rd June 2013
•Result announcement – June 2013
•Concealing or admission starting from – 9th July 2013.
•Last day to join college as per allotted schedule – 31st July 2013
•Session starts from – 1st August 2013
•Second session concealing – 28th September 2013 (Only if require)
•Last date for admission – 30th September 2013.
