CTET Exam 2014 Details of Entrance Exam and Results

The Central Board of Secondary Education conducts every year the written exam for the selection of students in the Teaching posts at both the primary and secondary level of schooling. The candidates in order to apply in the concerned exam must be at least graduate in education or anything equivalent thereto. The entrance exam is organized every year in the months of February/March for all the eligible candidates. The entrance exam for the current session i.e. 2014-15 has been already organized on 16th February 2014 for the applicants and the results are now available for download at the website. The candidates who have appeared in the concerned exam can check the details of their exam and results from the official website of the CTET at ctet.nic.in.

CTET Exam Details:

The candidates in order to appear in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) should be having the required eligibility for getting appointed as the Teachers at the Primary/ Secondary levels.

Eligibility for Teachers at Primary Level (Class I-V):

i)Senior Secondary/ Class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks or Diploma in Elementary Education of a minimum of two year duration or

ii) Senior Secondary/ Class 12th with a minimum of 45% marks or Diploma in Elementary Education as recognized by the NCTE (National Council of Technical Education) Regulations 2002

iii) Senior Secondary /Class 12th or anything equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks and Bachelor of Elementary Education of four year duration passed/ appearing in final year

iv) Senior Secondary/ Class 12th or anything equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks or Diploma in Education (Special Education) of a minimum of two year duration passed/ appearing in the final year

v) Graduation of three year duration passed/ appearing in the final year or Diploma in Elementary Education of a two year duration.

Eligibility for teachers at the Secondary Level (Classes VI-VIII):

i)Graduation of three year duration passed/ appearing in final year along with the Diploma in Elementary Education of two year duration or

ii) Graduation of three year duration with a minimum of 50% marks passed/ appearing along with a degree of one year duration in the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or

iii) Graduation of three year duration with a minimum of 45% marks passed/ appearing along with a degree of one year duration in the Bachelor of Education as per the NCTE (National Council of Technical Education) or

iv) Senior Secondary/ Class 12th or anything equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks passed/ appearing along with a degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education of a minimum of four year duration

v) Senior Secondary/ Class 12th or anything equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks passed/ appearing in final year along with a degree in BA/ B.Sc (Education)/ BA (Education)/ B.Sc (Education) or

vi) Graduation of three year duration with a minimum of 50% marks passed/ appearing in the final year of the exam along with a degree of one year duration in Bachelor of Education (Special Education) respectively

CTET Qualifying Marks:

60% in both the papers of the exam are needed for final selection.
