COMEDK UGET 2014 Entrance Exam Pattern and Eligibility Details
The COMEDK UGET stands for the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges in Karnataka under Graduate Entrance Test. The entrance exam is held every year in May for providing admissions to the candidates in the Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions as per the Section 4 of the Act 2006. The exam for the present session is scheduled to be held on 11th May 2014 at various centres all over India. The candidates appearing in the concerned exam will be admitted in the Bachelor of Engineering courses of the Karnataka Engineering Colleges participating in the Consortium Entrance Exam.
Details of COMEDK UGET 2014:
The COMEDK UGET is scheduled to be held on 11th May 2014 for all the applicants wishing to enroll themselves in different engineering, medical and dental courses under Karnataka Dental and Engineering Colleges. The candidates in order to appear in the exam must fulfill the minimum eligibility conditions as stated here below.
Eligibility for COMEDK UGET:
The candidates in order to be eligible for the entrance exam should have the following educational qualifications:
i) Intermediate/ Class 12th in the following subjects- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as the main subjects with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for reserved categories) from any recognized Boards
ii) Intermediate with any of the following as the optional subjects- Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology
iii) Diploma of 10+3 duration with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for all SC/ST candidates) for being eligible in the concerned entrance exam.
Pattern of COMEDK UGET:
The entrance exam will be based on an objective type question paper with multiple choice questions on the following main topics:
1. Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry- for Bachelor of Engineering
2. Chemistry and Physics (morning slot) and English and Biology (afternoon slot)- for Bachelor of Dental Surgery/ Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
3. Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics (morning slot) and English and Biology (afternoon slot)- for MBBS/ BDS and Bachelor of Engineering courses respectively
Duration of Exam: three hours
The candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answers marked by them and no marks will be deducted for the wrong answers attempted by them. The candidates marking more than one answer will not be evaluated on such questions attempted by them. Those candidates who have obtained the same marks in exam will be selected subject to the number of the wrong answers marked by them.

The candidates who comply with all the eligibility conditions as stated for this purpose can pay the required amount of application fees in either of the following modes: Internet Banking (Credit card/ Debit Card) and bank Challan drawn in favor of the COMEDK payable at Bangalore.
