CEEB Exam Pattern 2014 for Admissions to M.Sc Biotechnology Course 

The Combined Entrance Examination (CEEB) 2014 conducts the common entrance exam for the admission of eligible candidates in the Master of Bio Technology course. The entrance exam is conducted every year by the Jawaharlal Nehru University in the manner as stated here below.

The Masters of Bio Technology is a two year regular course programme which is based on the recent development in the areas of Genetic Engineering and Bio Technology respectively and its wide application in the field of agriculture, medicine and industries etc. The candidates preparing for the Combined Entrance Exam can read the details of examination including eligibility, qualifying criteria and paper pattern from below.

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates in order to become eligible for the CEEB 2014 should be possessing graduation of three year duration in the either of the following subjects: Physical, Pharmacy, Biological, Agricultural, Engineering/ Technology and Veterinary and Fishery Sciences or Bachelor of Science (Physician Assistant Course) or Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with at least 50% Marks secured in the concerned qualifying examination.

Pattern of Exam:

There will be objective type multiple choice questions on the following topics as given below:

Part A:

Physics

Chemistry and

Mathematics

Total Number of Questions: 60

Total marks Allotted: 60

Marking Scheme:

The candidates will be given 1 mark for each correct answer marked by the candidates and half marks will be deducted for the wrong answers marked by them.

 Part B:

Physics

Mathematics

Biology (Botany, Zoology, Molecular Biology, Micro Biology, Genetics, Botany and Bio Chemistry)

Chemistry respectively

Total Number of Questions: 60

Total Marks Allotted: 180

Marking Scheme:

The candidates will be awarded 3 marks for each correct answer marked by them whereas there will be a deduction of 1 mark for each wrong answer marked by them.
