CAT Admission 2014-15

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) welcomes candidates every year for admittance to various Postgraduate Management programmes in its institutes and various other Indian Universities and Institutes through CAT (Common Admission Test). This admission advertisement will also be available on its official web portal i.e. cat2013.iimidr.ac.in most likely from the month of July, 2014. Keen students are suggested read the details thoroughly provided here and apply via online or offline mode within the announced last dates.

 Eligibility Criteria:

Aspirants looking forward for appearing in the CAT should be a Graduation Degree holder, awarded by  any recognized University or college integrated by an act of the central or state legislature in India scoring a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for applicants reserved categories) or equivalent CGPA. Appearing candidates are also entitled to appear in this admission test.

Registration Procedure:

Candidates seeking admissions are supposed to apply online via the official web portal of the IIM- cat2013.iimidr.ac.in. Initially they need to purchase the CAT Voucher from selected Axis Bank Branches and register yourselves. However, the same can also be obtained by downloading from the website via online mode. Create an online profile and subsequently fill the online application form available on the authorized portal. Once the e-application is successfully submitted, candidates may proceed for the online process to schedule an appointment for CAT. Applicants will be asked to select an available date, time and centre of the exam.

Admission Scheme:

Admission of individuals is made through CAT or Common Admission Test conducted by IIM itself. Performance of candidates in CAT is an important component in the admission process. Applicants will be shortlisted on the grounds of their overall performance. The process may include Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). IIMs may refer to past academic records of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short listing and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process.
