Zombie Virus : This virus will make the living dead, Know the Reality!

Zombie Virus :

A team of European scientists recently resurrected a 48,500-year-old virus called a “zombie” from the Siberian permafrost in Russia. Internet users now fear that it is real and is also capable of turning humans into the living dead.

The research was carried out by Jean-Michel Claverie and colleagues at the University of Aix-Marseille in France to gain a better knowledge of the effect of zombie viruses on human health.

As if the irrational fear of a possible zombie apocalypse wasn’t enough, endless discussions on Twitter about whether the newly resurrected virus is real or fake are giving people chills.

Is the ‘zombie’ virus real?

Yes, the so-called zombie virus is real, but not in the sense that many people think.

Ancient viruses and its strains have existed for years due to their ability to survive in extreme conditions. However, they are not a direct threat to humans as they only infect amoeba.

Jean, professor of genomics and bioinformatics at Aix-Marseille University’s school of medicine and director of the Mediterranean Institute of Microbiology, told Newsweek, “A virus like this would never infect a human cell because about a billion years of human evolution has been Isolates cells from amoeba.

He further established: “The accumulated differences in the functioning of amoeba cells versus human cells render these viruses inefficient at infecting humans.”

The notion of a zombie outbreak is fake

Call it the influence of The Walking Dead or other similar fiction, but the thought of the dead coming back to life is the worst nightmare for many.

When news broke about the revival of the zombie virus, many assumed it had something to do with human zombies. Thus began a discussion on Twitter about whether or not the virus was real, in order to get some satisfaction.

One Twitter user calmed others down by tweeting: “The zombie virus doesn’t actually turn living things into zombies.”

“Now with this virus, the dead will rise, the zombie apocalypse,” joked another.

The Apocalypse Isn’t Starting in China in 2022

A few months back, similar delusions about a possible zombie apocalypse became a trend on TikTok in China, when many believed there would be an outbreak of the living dead in 2022.

With less than a month until the end of the year, we can confirm that the above will never happen and also that the fear originated from an article that was misinterpreted.

The story references Max Brooks’ novel World War Z, a fictional zombie World War II chronicle. Those who failed to fully read the story completely assumed it was talking about an actual zombie invasion of China.

For now, we can only see zombies in fictional movies or TV shows and witness an apocalypse.
