WB SET Exam Pattern

A State level test for eligibility is conducted by the West Bengal CSC or College Service Commission for candidates interested in Lectureship in West Bengal’s colleges and universities. These colleges and institutions are also accredited by UGC. For many subjects the posts of lectureship are available like life sciences, Urdu, Hindi, English, chemical sciences, philosophy, political science, economics, commerce and many more. Eligibility Details of WB SET Exam

# The candidates interested in applying for the positions available in the colleges and institutes in the state need to gain Master’s Degree in any of the subjects they wish to teach with minimum fifty five percent marks;
# All those candidates can also appear for the test who –
– Have passed three year honours course with second class;
– In the subject chosen, holding a degree;
– Candidates who have passed an equivalent qualification from any Foreign University;

# The Application Form is available online also at the official website of the authorities at www.wbcsc.ac.in;
# When starting to fill application form, the photographs and signatures need to be scanned and kept handy for uploading;
# A valid cell phone number and email ID needs to be mentioned in the form as any information regarding the test will be mailed on the same;
# The notification or the advertisement should be read carefully before filling the application form to avoid any mistake;
# The data entered in the application form will be final and there will be no changes allowed later on;

Pattern Of Examination

# There will be three question papers in the exam;
# The first paper will have General questions;
# It is compulsory to clear this exam to appear for other two papers;
# Objective type questions will be asked;
# Paper II and Paper III will entail questions related to the subjects chosen;
# Candidates who have submitted their thesis for PhD or gained M.Phil are exempted from this examination;
# Candidates who have qualified JRF test are also exempted from this examination;
