UPMT Admission 2014-15
The Govind Ballabh Pant Agricultural & Technological University has welcomed Indian applicants for admittance to its MBBS & BDS programmes for the upcoming academic session 2014-15 through an Uttarakhand Pre Medical Test (UPMT) conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education of Uttarakhand. This admission advertisement has already been published on its official web portal i.e. gbpuat.ac.in. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have cleared their Intermediate exam or any equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects under a recognized board and Candidate should have average of 50% of total marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC and 45% for General PH Candidates.
Age Limitations:
The age of all aspirants must strictly fall between the ages of 17 and 25 years for applying for this entrance exam. However, applicants belonging to ST, SC or OBC categories will be granted with an upper age relaxation of 5 years. Those who do not accomplish this age bar will not be eligible for admission.
Application Process:
Keen and qualified candidates can be obtaining their copies of the application form and prospectus from any of the following post office branches on cash payment of Rs.1740/- within 21st March to 17th April, 2014. However, ST and SC candidates are supposed to pay only Rs.1240/- for the same. Read the prospectus carefully first and then fill up this form properly as prescribed and send it to the recommended address within the announced last dates i.e. within 21st April, 2014 till 5:00 pm.

Selection Method:
Selection of applicants into MBBS and BDS courses is based on merit attained in the common entrance tests conducted by the University commonly known as UPMT or Uttarakhand Pre Medical Test. This entrance test will take place on 18th May, 2014 at its various centres in Dehradun, Almora, Rishikesh, Patnagar, Srinagar etc. Therefore, aspirants who do not qualify or appear in this exam successfully will not be admissible in the university.
Dates to Remember:
21st March, 2014 – Starting of selling prospectus and application form.
17th April, 2014 – Closing date of selling prospectus and application form.
21st April, 2014 – Closing date for submission of application forms.
18th May, 2014 – Scheduled date for the UPMT.
