TGT Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Eligibility, Selection Criteria and Duration of Exam

The Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) is the qualifying exam for the selection of eligible applicants in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV). The applicant for the Trained Graduate Teacher is conducted every year in the month of March/ April respectively. The exam is a state level exam conducted in different states- Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Delhi, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu respectively. Name of Exam: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

Conducting Authority: Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti

Recruitment for: TGT

Eligibility for Exam:

The applicants should be graduation passed in nay discipline along with a Bachelors degree in Education from any recognized university/ college to be eligible in the concerned post.

The qualifying ages of all the applicants should be not exceeding 21 years for appearing in the concerned recruitment exam.

Paper Pattern:

There will be three parts in the concerned recruitment exam. The Trained Graduate Teachers exam will be conducted for the following main subjects:

1. General English (20 Marks)

2. General Hindi (20 Marks)

3. General Awareness (30 Marks)

4. Reasoning (30 Marks)

5. Technical Aptitude (20 Marks) and

6. Commerce/ Chemistry/ English (80 Marks)

Total Allotted Marks: 200

Duration of Exam: 2 Hours and 30 Minutes

The candidates will be given 1 mark per question while there is no deduction of marks for the incorrect attempts respectively. The applicants are required to score at least five marks in both the languages –English and Hindi separately. The candidates should obtain a minimum of 13 marks in the paper out of 40 (English: 20; Hindi: 20) to qualify in the concerned recruitment exam.

The written exam for the present session has been scheduled to be held on 1st June 2014 for all the eligible applicants. The candidates can download their Admit Cards for the concerned entrance exam from the official website of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
