RBI Exam Pattern 2014 announced for Grade B Officers

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducts the common written exam for the post of Officers in Grade B for all the eligible candidates. The exam is conducted for all the candidates in both the modes- online as well as offline. Those candidates who will be appearing in the concerned exam should go through the detailed paper pattern including the marking scheme from the information as given here below.

The Reserve Bank of India is the apex organization for the appointment and training of all the Personnels in the Bank. The candidates who will be appearing for the Grade B Officers Exam should go through the details of examination from here below.

Name of Exam: Grade B Officers Recruitment Exam

Conducting Authority: Reserve Bank of India

Exam Pattern:

There will be two papers in the exam- one will be objective type computer based test and the second one will be descriptive type written exam respectively.

Paper I: Objective Type Online Written Exam

Total Number of Questions: 200

Total Marks Allotted: 200 Marks

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours

Main topics of Exam include the following:

General Awareness

English Language

Quantitative Aptitude and

Reasoning respectively

The candidates will have to appear and qualify in all the four tests as stated above.

Paper II: Written Examination (Descriptive Type):

The written examination will be held in the months of October/ November months respectively through the paper pencil modes on the following main topics:

Paper I: English

Paper II: Economic and Social Issues and

Paper III: Finance and Management respectively

Total Time Allotted: three hours

Total Marks Allotted: 100 Marks

The candidates will be required to answer both the papers in either of the two languages: English and Hindi respectively.


The written examination shall be followed by the interview based on the marks of both the papers as stated above. The final selections will be made on the basis of the marks obtained in both written as well as interview.
