The PEC University of Technology Chandigarh was initially called as Punjab Engineering College. Established in the year 1921, the college was affiliated to Punjab University earlier. The college was granted the status of a deemed to be university in October 2003. In 2009, the college was renamed as PEC University of Technology. The university is better known for its different courses available in the following major disciplines: Aerospace Engineering, Applied Sciences, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Production & Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Materials and Metallurgical Engineering respectively.

The university invites admissions under the different courses available in the university departments through the scores and marks obtained in the JEE (Main) and marks in Class 12th in the 60% to 40% weightage granted for both the exams. The JAC (Joint Admission Committee) will prepare a rank list as per the cut off and merit decided for all the qualified and eligible candidates. These candidates shall be called to attend the JAC Counseling for final seat allotment.

1) The applicants can log on to the website of Punjab Engineering College at pec.ac.in.
2) Go to the “Admissions” page of website from the home page top menu bar.
3) Find the links of admit cards available at the website specified sections.
4) Enter your registration details inside the downloading window (if available) online.
5) Download and take print outs for all the university exam call letters.
The applicants applying to the doctoral and masters course must carry their GATE Score Cards and Admit Cards with them on counseling. Whereas, applicants applying to the bachelors course must carry their JEE (Main) Score Cards and Admit Cards respectively with them.
