PIMS AICET Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Syllabus, Eligibility and Selection Criteria
The Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) conducts the common entrance exam every year for admitting eligible applicants in the different medical courses available at the Under Graduate levels. The exam is organized and held in the last week of April through the paper pencil modes by the Institute every year. The exam provides admission to all the eligible applicants in courses like- MBBS/ BDS respectively.

Name of Exam: All India Common Entrance Test
Conducting Authority: Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences
Courses of Admission: MBBS/ BDS/ B.Sc Nursing

BDS: 100
Eligibility for Exam:
The applicants should be Intermediate/ Class 12th passed with a minimum of 50% marks obtained in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology respectively. The applicants belonging to the reserved categories will be given a relaxation of 10% marks for this purpose.

Scheme of Examination:
The applicants will be required to qualify in the entrance exam which will be held in the paper pencil modes. The paper shall consist of objective type questions with multiple choice based answers in the following main subjects:
Physics: 50 Marks
Chemistry: 50 Marks and
Biology: 100 Marks (Botany: 50 Marks and Zoology: 50 Marks)
Total Number of Questions: 200
Total Allotted Marks: 200
Duration of Exam: 3 Hours
Marking Scheme:
The candidates shall be given 1 mark for every correct answer given by them while there will be no marks deducted for the incorrect answers marked by them respectively.
Syllabus of Study:
The Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences All India Common Entrance Test shall contain questions as per the syllabus of the HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) examination and books prescribed by the concerned Boards for this purpose.
