The Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) has been originated from the NIAS (Netaji Institute of Asian Studies) established by the passing of an Act of West Bengal State Legislative Assembly. The university was founded in the year 1997, the birth centenary year of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The university received the recognition of UGC and Higher Education Minister, Government of West Bengal on 20^th August 1997 for its establishment. The university is presently considered as one of the largest institutions of distance education in India with about 120 study centres spread throughout the country.

The Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) examinations are held every year through semester system in the months of June/ July and November/ December respectively. The applicants enrolled and appearing in the university examinations are required to download their schedules and admit cards online from the website of university in the manner as detailed here below.

NSOU Admit Cards 2014 Online Viewing & Downloading Details:-

i) Those applicants who will be participating in the NSOU Examinations must check online at the website for their admit cards.

ii) The applicants may also collect their admit cards offline from the concerned study centres under which they are enrolled.

iii) The university also has the facility of issuing offline admit cards in case no online links are available for this purpose.

iv) The online admit cards for the university examinations can be received from the “Examinations” page of website.

v) Download simply if available in the form of PDF and take print outs.

vi) Enter your registration details in case of admit card downloading windows.

vii) Submit to preview the online hall tickets and take print outs.

Candidates should carry their admit cards positively on the examination day as without it no entry would be given.
