Application Process:
Applicants who accomplish the eligibility particulars as per the latest admission notice/ prospectus may only continue with the application process. Initially, the latest Information brochure and the suggested application formats must be obtained from the University or download the same from the authorized gateway- nehu.ac.in.. All applicants are supposed to pay the application fee charged by the University as mentioned in the prospectus. This payment can also be made through a Challan slip/ Banker’s Cheque/ Demand Draft in favor of- “North Eastern Hill University”. Once the applicants successfully pay the application fee, they must send their properly filled up application form to the university address within the announced due date enclosed with the DD and xerox of other necessary credentials in support of your academic qualification.

| M.A. in History & Archaeology | Candidates must be in possession of their graduation degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University or college with not less than 50% aggregate marks. |
| M.Tech. in IT | B.Tech./B.E. in IT/CSE/ EE /ECE or MCA or M.Sc. in Computer Science/Electronics having secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. |
| B.A.LLB (HONS) | 10+2 from any stream. |
| MBA | A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. |
| M.Sc. in Horticulture | B.Sc.(Hort.), B.Sc.(Agri.) Degree from a recognized University with not less than of 55% aggregate marks. |
| M.Phil (Mathematics) | 55% marks in the Master Degree Examination of any recognized University |
| B.Tech. | 10+2 from Science stream along with a valid positive JEE score. |
| M.Tech. in Nanotechnology | B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Biomedical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Electronics & Communication, Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering having 60%. |
| MFA | Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry,Applied Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food Preservation, Agriculture, food Technology or equivalent from any recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 50% marks. |
| M.Lib.Sc. | A graduation degree in any discipline. |

About:
The North-Eastern Hill University was established in the year 1973 by an Act of Parliament. The main purpose of NEHU, as mentioned in the act, are “to disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit; to pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people of the hill areas of the North-eastern region, and in particular, the intellectual, academic and cultural advancement”.
