NIT Calicut Admission Forms 2014 Details of Online Applications

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut is one of the 30 NITs located in the north-east of Calicut. The institute is one of the important technical institution established by a special Act of Parliament (Act 29 of 2007) passed as on 5th June 2007 for all the candidates. The Institute provides higher education in a number of courses including the Bachelor of Engineering & Technology course under its academics. The students in order to take admissions in the engineering courses as made available under the Institute must have qualified in the different Engineering Entrance Exams including JEE Mains, JEE Advance and GATE (Graduate Admission Test for Engineering) 2014 respectively.

 Courses Offered:

1. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)

2. Bachelor of Archeology (B.Arch)

3. Master of Technology (M.Tech)

4. Master of Science (M.Sc)

5. Master of Business Administration (MBA)

6. Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

7. Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Management (PGDCM) and

8. Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) respectively

 Admissions to NIT 2014:

The National Institute of Technology Calicut has already announced for the admissions to its different courses through an online admission notice released at its official website for all the eligible candidates to go through. The candidates are required to fill online application forms for all the courses in the manner as given in the official notification for this purpose.

Eligibility for Admissions:

1. For MBA:

The candidates in order take admission in the Master of Business Administration course of the institute should have qualified in the Management Entrance Exams which includes- CAT (Common Admission Test)/CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) respectively with the required merit. The candidates must be having a Bachelors Degree in any discipline with the following subjects- Mathematics/ Economics to be studied in the qualifying exam as the main subjects. The minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying degree should be at least 60% (6.5 out of 10 CGPA) for all the candidates except the SC/ST/OBC who will be given a minimum of 5% relaxation in this condition.

2. For Bachelor of Technology/ Bachelor of Archeology Course: The candidates should be qualified in the Joint Engineering Entrance Exam Mains 2014 in the specified merit as stated for this purpose

3. For Master of Technology Course: The candidates should be having a Bachelors Degree in Engineering/ Technology in first class along with a valid score card in the GATE 2014 Exam.

 Applying Details for Admission:

The online application forms should be filled for a particular course in the manner as specified for this purpose. The candidates shall pay Rs1000 (Rs500 for SC/ST) as the application fee in the form of Demand Drafts drawn in favor of the “Director National Institute of Technology Calicut” payable at Calicut for registering online. The candidates must complete their online applications before the last date as specified for this purpose.

The complete application forms must be accompanied with all the enclosures as required necessarily for this purpose. This includes all the original mark sheets and certificates of educational qualifications, certificates of experience (if any), caste certificates (for Reserved Categories) and medical certificates for all the differently abled candidates respectively.
