Details of Eligibility:
Ph.D: Master’s Degree in the discipline of Engineering or Technology under a recognized university or institute in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Production, Chemical, Industrial Engineering and relevant subjects with not less than 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
M.Tech: Bachelor’s Degree in any branch of engineering or M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry or Environmental Science or other relevant subjects.
B.Tech: Applicants should have qualified their Intermediate or 10+2 Exam from Science stream under a recognized board of education.

Candidates who complete the whole criteria of eligibility of their desired programme may download the National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology Admission form from its authorized web portal- nifft.ernet.in. Fill all the required particulars in this form accurately and accompany it with the other prescribed copies of documents along with it. Enclose all these together in an envelope, and send it to the announced address within the prescribed last dates. Applications reaching after the scheduled last date of receiving application will not be acknowledged.

Students will be shortlisted on the basis of their merit obtained in the Entrance Tests conducted by the Institute. However, applicants applying for B.Tech/ M.Tech programmes will be approved for admittance on the grounds of their marks in All India entrance exams like IIT JEE, CAT and GATE. Aspirants, who fail to attend or clear these Entrance exams, will not be eligible for admission in NIFFT.
