MH SSET Admission 2014-15
The Directorate of Medical Education and Research invites numerous Indian candidates for admissions to various UG and PG courses every year through a Super Specialty Entrance Test, also known as MH SSET. The sale of application forms and Information Brochure will be starting most probably from the month of May, 2014 whereas, the exam takes place in the month of June. Eligibility Conditions:
All applicants need to be registered with MCI/Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) or any other state council permanently for application for the admissions most importantly. Also, they should be in possession of a PG degree MD/MS or its equivalent under a MCI recognized medical college. However, appearing MD/MS or any equivalent exam applicants are also eligible to sit for the exam. Such candidates will be considered for selection, on production of passing certificate of their degree on the date of preference form filling and counseling.
Procedure of Application:
Interested and qualified aspirants who fulfill the entire criteria of eligibility may get the Application Form as well as the Information Brochure from any of the following offices on cash payment of the application fee charged:-
– Government Medical College, Panchakki Road, Aurangabad – 431 001
– Government Medical College, Hanuman Nagar, Nagpur – 440 003
– Grant Government Medical College, Byculla, Mumbai – 400 008
– B.J. Government Medical College, Pune – 411 001
After obtaining the forms, applicants need to forward the accordingly filled in form to the prescribed address along with the DD favoring “Director, Medical Education & Research, Mumbai” Payable at Mumbai and other enclosures as defined in the notification on or before the last date of receiving forms. Applications received after the last date, will not be accepted.

Selection process:
The selection of applicants will be made on the grounds of their marks obtained in the MH-SSET. The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of descending order of marks attained in this entrance test. This exam usually takes place in the first week of June. Those who qualify this test successfully are called further for the counseling process. Therefore, it’s a must for all candidates to appear and clear this entrance test.
