Recently LIC has invited applications for recruitment of Apprentice Development Officers in different zones of operation. The expected vacancies are on the higher side of 3000 positions presently. Especially for the northern region of its coverage the vacancies are estimated to 817 positions which will be controlled under its North Zonal Office at New Delhi.
Details of the vacancies:
•Assistant Administrative Officer – 750 positions
Functional Duties: This is a supervisory position for recruitment of agents, training of agents and helping them to sell policies and capture the market. The jobs will be both urban and rural employment in particular and candidates selected for these positions will have to station at the areas demarcated for them.
The applicants must have a Bachelors Degree from any reputed institution in India or must have a Fellowship from the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai. However, preference will be given to the applicants possessing MBA or Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing.
Age Factors for Essential Eligibility:
The applicants must fall within the age group of 21-30 years in completed age as on 1st of Apr 2013 to become eligible for applying.
However, there will be relaxation in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to privileged categories (ST, SC, OBC, PWD etc.)
Essential Experience to count for:
•Candidates who are employees of LIC: At least 3 years of service in the Class-III posts
•Candidates who are agents of LIC: At least 5 years as a Agent with suitable fulfillment of requirements as policy confirmation (please refer detailed ad on http://www.licindia.in/pages/NOTIFICATION_NORTH_ZONE_2012-13.pdf)
•Any other persons: At least two years of experience in marketing of Insurance related products.
Procedure of selection:
The selection will be based on a Online Test and followed by a personal interview for both urban and rural employment
The selected candidates will be subject to Medical examination by the LIC prior to final appointment.

The applicants need to upload their scanned signature and a photograph during applying online.
No other mode of application will however be accepted.
•All candidates (except ST and SC) will have to remit an application fee of INR 500 in favor of LIC in a branch of State Bank of India.
•The details of bank and branch will be made available during the process of registration.
•The remittance can be done after 2nd working day or registration and till next three days only.
