JEE Main 2015 Exam Notification, Application & Dates for Participation

The Joint Engineering Entrance (JEE) Main 2015 is conducted every year by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for short listing eligible candidates in under graduate engineering courses available under participating institutions including all NITs, IIITs and other centrally aided government institutions. The JEE Main Exam 2015 is scheduled to be held on the following dates for all candidates appearing: 4th, 10th and 11th April 2015 respectively.

Details of JEE Main Exam 2015-

Name of Exam: Joint Engineering Entrance Main Exam

Conducting Organization: Central Board of Secondary Education

Courses of Admission:

Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Architecture

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates who wish to participate in the JEE Main Exam 2015 must be Intermediate (Class 12th) passed from any recognized central or state Boards of India. The candidates should have studied Mathematics in Class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks obtained in total of five subjects to get admissions in the B.Arch and B.Plan Courses. The applicants should have studied five subjects (Language, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subjects) and any other subject with a minimum of 45% marks in all the subjects taken together under Class 12th examination.

Age Boundation:

The upper age limit is restricted to 25 years for all the applicants as on 1st October 2015 for participating in the JEE Main 2015.

Pattern of Examination:

The JEE Main Exam 2015 shall be having two papers to be answered for BE/ B.Tech and B.Arch/ B.Plan respectively. The candidates shall be required to answer the paper in either of the modes selected for this purpose.

Paper I: This paper shall constitute questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics respectively.

Paper II: This paper shall be having questions on Physics Chemistry, Mathematics, Drawing and Aptitude Tests respectively.

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours

Total No. of Questions: 96

Total Marks Allotted: 360

Modes of Examination:

The paper of JEE Main shall be conducted in both online and offline modes. The candidates may chose either of the modes- online/ offline for participating in Paper 1 (BE/ B.Tech). The Paper 2 (B.Arch/ B.Plan) shall be conducted in offline modes only.

Application Process:

The candidates should apply online at the website of JEE Main/ CBSE. The online application forms can be filled online at jeemain.nic.in in the manner as prescribed here below. The application fee should be paid online through Credit/ Debit Card/ Internet Banking before due dates as specified for this purpose.

Amount of Application Fee-

1. In case of Paper 1 or Paper 2 only:

For General Candidates: Rs 1000 (Boys) and Rs 500 (Girls)

For SC/ST/PWD Candidates: Rs 500 (Boys) and Rs 500 (Girls)

2. In case of Paper 1 and Paper 2 both-

For General Candidates: Rs 1800 (Boys) and Rs 900 (Girls)

For SC/ ST/ PWD Candidates: Rs 900 (Boys) and Rs 900 (Girls)

Dates of Examination:

JEE (Main) Paper -1 (BE/ B.Tech) Offline Examination: 4th April 2015

JEE (Main) Paper -2 (BE/ B.Tech) Online Examination: 10th, 11th April 2015

JEE (Main) Paper 2 (B.Arch/ B.Plan) Offline Examination: 4th April 2015

Submission of Online Application Form: 7th November 2014 to 18th December 2014
