Courses of Admission:
1. MBBS/ BDS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)/ (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
2. MD/ MS (Doctorate of Medicine)/ Master of Surgery
3. DM/ M.Ch
4. MDS (Master of Dental Surgery)
5. B.Sc Nursing
6. MD/ MS (Ayurveda)
7. BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) / B.Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy)
8. BNYS
9. M.Pharma (Master of Pharmacy)
Admission Criteria:
The applicants for the following courses: DM/ M.Ch, B.Sc. Nursing, MD/ MS (Ayurveda), BAMS/ B.Pharma (Ayurveda)/ BNYS, M.Pharma shall be selected on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by the Banaras Hindu University Varanasi for this purpose.

The admissions to the rest of the courses including the MBBS/ BDS, MD/ MS and MDS courses shall be done on the basis of the performance of the applicants in the AIUGMEE (All India Under Graduate Medical Entrance Exam), AIPGMEE (All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam) and AIPGDEE (All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Exam) respectively.
Eligibility for Admissions:
The applicants in order to become eligible for the concerned courses of the university institute should have passed Intermediate/ Class 12th from the Biology Group of subjects. This includes the following: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology/ Zoology subjects respectively.
The candidates shall be required to have an under graduate medical/ dental degrees of any recognized medical colleges in order to avail admissions in the PG Medical Courses of the Institute respectively.
Applying Procedure:
The candidates should apply online from either of the following websites: bhu.ac.in / formzero.in/ imsbhu/ bhuonline.in as specified for this purpose. The online application forms are generally made available in the month of March/ April respectively. The applicants can also purchase their application forms offline from the Institute of Medical Sciences. The application fee for all the General Candidates is Rs 1000 and for all the Reserved Candidates Rs 600 respectively. The applicants will be required to send their online / offline filled application forms to the “Director, Institute of Medical Sciences” at IMS Directorate latest by 15th April 2014.
