Requirement of Education Qualification:

The every course offered by the university have some specific eligibility criteria which the candidates needs to follow before filling up of application form. Failing to come have those particular eligibility (as per the course), the applications will be subject for rejection. Therefore Candidates are requested to refer official website to view the criteria for eligibility.

Criteria for Admission:

Entrance Examinations are conducted for each course individually by the authorized institutions approved by the university. The selection of the aspirants will strictly be made on the basis of Merit marks obtained in the said exam, no further deviation for the same.

At the time of admission, each student has to produce the attested photocopies of their academic and other relevant qualifying credentials or certificates.

Procedure for Registration:

The registration will be made through “National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM)” Ph.D scholarships Screening Test. The admission each year starts in the month of August. The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, established in the year 1962 and pedestal in the luxuriant environs of the CIT campus at Chennai. The Institute is an institution of national importance to promote the fundamental research in front line disciplines of the physical sciences and mathematical: Theoretical Computer Science, Theoretical Physics, Mathematics, and in many inter disciplinary fields as well. Approximately a 100 researchers which includes post-doctoral fellows, faculty members and graduate students, are the members of an Institute at any given point of time.
