The Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) offers education in the post graduate as well as doctoral courses in different streams of Veterinary Sciences. Eligibility for Admissions:
The candidates should be bachelor in nay stream to apply for the Master of Veterinary Sciences course of the university whereas the admissions to the PhD course requires a Masters Degree in Veterinary Sciences with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or an equivalent CGPA of 7/10 for all the General and OBC Candidates and 55% marks or 6.45/ 10 CGPA for all the SC/ST candidates respectively.
The candidates can buy the Prospectus as well as the Application Forms from the university counters or simply download it from the university website at ivri.nic.in. The applicants should attach the Demand Drafts of Rs 1200 (Rs 1000 for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favor of the “ICAR, Unit IVRI, Izatnagar” payable at SBI CARI Brach of Bareilly along with their application forms before the last dates as specified for this purpose.
The selections to the Masters course shall be done on the basis of the combined examinations as conducted by the ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) and for admissions to the PhD courses; it will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the following exams:
Marks in Entrance Exam: 60% (out of 200)
Marks of Interview: 20%
Marks in Academic Qualification: 20% (Masters Degree: 12% and Bachelors Degree: 8%)
For Scheduled Caste Candidates: 15%
For Scheduled Tribe Candidates: 7.5%
For Other Backward Classes: 18%
For PWD Candidates: 3%
