Way to Get Admission:
Candidates need to firstly crack the JEE (Main) Exam, later on, Online Counseling followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview as per the requirements.
Eligibility of Admission:
Candidates should be in possession of good academic background throughout to be eligible for any of the course that a student is applying for.
For Bachelors Programme – The applicants should have obtained excellent scores in their Class- 12th Board studied from a renowned Board having Science stream.
For Masters Programme – One who have successfully qualified having secured good marks in their Graduation level can apply for admission
For Research Programme – Passed out candidates in the post graduation level scoring satisfactory marks are eligible to apply.

The German Government presented technical support for set up an institute of higher education in the field of engineering in the country. The 1st Indo- German contract in Bonn, West Germany for the launching of the Indian Institute of Technology at the Madras city was signed in the year 1959. The IIT Madras was officially launched in the year 1959 by Professor Humayun Kabir, Union Minister for Scientific Research & Cultural Affairs.
