All applicants need to possess a Master’s degree from a recognized university scoring not less than 55% of marks or equivalent grade in Statistics, Geography, Mathematics, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work and Anthropology. |

All applicants need to possess a Ph.D. degree from a recognized university, in Population Studies or any other allied subject wherein issues related to population, health and development has been dealt with. |

All applicants need to possess a Master in Population Studies/ M.A/M.Sc. in Demography from a recognized university scoring a minimum of 55% of marks or equivalent. |

All applicants need to possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university scoring not less than 55% of aggregate marks or equivalent grade. Preference shall be given to candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in Math/Stat/Eco or any social science subject. |

Admission Criteria:
Applicants applying for all post graduation programmes mentioned above will be selected on the grounds of various common entrance examinations and subsequent personal interviews. In case applying for Ph.D, candidates will be selected through a different entrance exam on Research and Methodology and personal Interview. Candidates seeking for Post Doctoral Fellowship will be selected by submission of comprehensive research proposal and Interview.

Application Method:
Interested aspirants can obtain the prescribed application form and information brochure from the below mentioned address personally or by post on sending a self addressed Rs.50/- stamped envelope (25cm x 12cm) on or before 30th May, 2014. However, the same can also be downloaded directly from its authorized web portal- iipsindia.org . Once obtained, this application form must be filled up appropriately with all genuine details. The completed application form along with all relevant enclosures and a non-refundable intimation fee worth INR.500/- (no fee for SC/ST and PH candidates) through a Demand Draft, drawn from any nationalized Bank favoring the “Director, IIPS, Mumbai” should reach this address within or on the respective last dates:-
