The Higher Secondary School Teacher (HSST) Recruitment exam is conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission every year for short listing candidates in the concerned job profile. Name of Exam: Higher Secondary School Teachers

Conducting Authority: Kerala Public Service Commission

Mode of Exam: Paper and Pencil Test

Pattern of Exam:

The paper will contain objective type multiple choice based questions from the concerned subject as chosen by the applicant for exam.

Total Marks Allotted: 100

Duration of Exam: one and a half hour

The questions will be in English language only. The candidates with non-English background should see to it that they can answer the questions.

1. Discrete Structures

2. Computer Graphics

3. Current Trends and Technologies

4. Operating Systems

5. Programming Language Theory

6. Software Engineering

7. Programming in C and C++

8. System Software and Compilers

9. Relational Database Design and Query Languages

10. Computer Arithmetic

11. Data Communication and Computer Networks and

12. Data Structures and Algorithms respectively

Eligibility for HSST:

The candidates for applying to the Higher Secondary School Teachers Exam should have a degree of Post Graduation in Computer Applications/ Computer Science with a minimum percentage of marks being 50% or have a Masters Degree in Engineering (B.Tech/ M.Tech) from either of the disciplines: Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks along with PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications) from a recognized university for this purpose. The candidates should have studied as the main subjects in their qualifying degree- Physics, Mathematics, and Statistics respectively.

Age Bar:

The age of all the eligible applicants should be between 20 and 39 years respectively for this purpose.
