Gujarat TET Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Question Paper Pattern

Gujarat TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) is the qualifying exam for the recruitment of eligible candidates in the post of Primary and Secondary School Teachers for the private and government schools in the state of Gujarat. The candidates in order to appear in the concerned exam should be a graduate in education or have a diploma in Elementary Education with at least 55% marks. The candidates who have applied or will be applying in the Gujarat Teacher Eligibility Test should go through the details of examination including paper pattern from the information as given here below.

Exam Pattern for Gujarat TET 2014:

There will be objective type multiple choice based questions in the paper of 150 marks divided into 150 questions from the following main topics:

Paper I:

Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 Questions

Language I: 30 Questions

Language II: 30 Questions

Mathematics: 30 Questions

Environmental Studies: 30 Questions

Total Number of Questions: 150

Paper II:

Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 Questions

Language I (Compulsory): 30 Questions

Language II (Compulsory): 30 Questions

Mathematics and Science Teacher:

Mathematics: 60 Questions

Social Studies/Social Science: 60 Questions

Qualifying Criteria:

The candidates should score at least 60% marks in both the papers to become eligible for the Secondary School Teachers (Class VI to VIII) and in paper I for eligibility to Primary School Teachers (Class I to V) respectively.

Syllabus of Study:

The candidates should prepare as per the syllabus of the Gujarat Primary School (Classes I to V) for Paper I whereas candidates preparing for the Paper II should prepare as per the syllabus of Secondary Schools (Classes VI to VIII) respectively. The candidates who wish to become eligible for the Secondary Schools can prepare for both the papers of the exam.

The Gujarat Teacher Eligibility Test is held every year in the months of July/ August by the Government of Gujarat and online applications are made for the concerned exam through the Online Job Application System (OJAS) of Government of Gujarat.
