DU Law Exam Pattern 2014 Scheme of Examination and Qualifying Criteria

The Delhi University conducts every year the common entrance exam for admitting candidates eligible in the under graduate as well as post graduate law courses respectively. Those interested to apply in the concerned courses of the university must visit the official website at du.ac.in for getting details regarding the admissions. The applications for the concerned course admission tests are usually introduced by the university in May/ June months every year. Name of Exam: DU LLB Entrance Exam

Conducting University: Delhi University

Courses of Admission: LLB (Bachelor in Law), LLM (Masters in Law)

Eligibility for Exam:

The applicants in order to take admissions in the LLB course (5 years) should have obtained at least 50% marks in graduation or post graduation level of exams. A relaxation of 5% marks will be given to the candidates belonging to the SC/ST category.

Scheme of Exam:

The Delhi University LLB Exam shall comprise of objective type multiple choice questions on the following main topics:

English Language and Comprehension

Legal Awareness

Analytical Abilities and

General Knowledge respectively

Total Number of Questions: 175

Total Marks Allotted: 700

Duration of Exam: 2 Hours

Marking Criteria:

The candidates shall be required to attempt the questions correctly because there will be a deduction of 1 mark for each wrong attempts made by them. For every right attempt made by the candidates, there will be addition of four marks in the concerned entrance exam.

2. Criminal Law

3. Law of Contracts (General Principles)

4. Constitutional Law of India

5. Public International Law

6. Law of Torts and
