Delhi TET Exam Pattern 2014 Details for Exam Paper Pattern and Qualifying Criteria

The Teacher Eligibility Test is the qualifying test for the eligibility to recruitment as the primary and secondary school teachers respectively. The exam is organized through Central Board of Secondary Education centrally for the applicants from all over India whereas the exam is also conducted State Wise for different states to provide eligibility for recruitment in the state Board affiliated schools both aided and unaided schools. Given below are the details of the DTET (Delhi Teachers Eligibility Test) for all the appearing candidates to go through in the concerned exam.

DTET Exam Pattern:

Like any other State Level Teacher Eligibility Test, the Delhi Teacher Eligibility Test consists of two papers. The first paper is compulsory for qualifying as the Primary School Teachers (Class I to V) and the second paper for qualifying as the Secondary School Teachers (Class VI to VIII) respectively.

Paper Pattern:

For Paper I:

Child Development and Pedagogy (30 Questions)

Language I (30 Questions)

Language II (30 Questions)

Mathematics (30 Questions) and

Environmental Studies (30 Questions)

Total Number of Questions: 150

Total Marks Allotted: 150 Marks

Duration of Exam: 1 and a half hour

For Paper II:

Child Development & Pedagogy (30 Questions)

Language I (30 Questions)

Language II (30 Questions)

For Mathematics and Science Teacher:

Mathematics and Science (60 Questions)

Social Studies /Social Science (60 Questions)

Qualifying Criteria:

The candidates should score at least 60% marks in the exam for qualifying in the concerned exam.

Eligibility for Exam:

The Delhi Teacher Eligibility Test is open for all the candidates who are Intermediate /Class 12th passed with at least 45% marks along with a two year Diploma in Elementary Education or four year bachelors’ degree in Elementary Education or a two year diploma in Education (Special Education) or candidates having a bachelors’ degree in Arts /Science with a minimum of 50% marks along with an under graduate degree in Education can also apply for this job.

The candidates who are appearing for the final year examinations of the qualifying degree can also apply for the concerned exam provided they have their degrees with them by the time of final admissions.
