Admission procedure is on in Defence Institute of Advanced Technology Pune. Applicants willing to take admission in DIAT Pune can start applying for their willing course. Defence Institute of Advanced Technology is the premier Technological University of Dept. of Defence R&D / DRDO – Ministry of Defence – Govt. of India, engaged in imparting technical education, in niche areas at PG (M.Tech) & Ph. D levels over the last 60 years, in its various forms & capacities.
DIAT Pune is currently taking admission of eligible and interested contenders in M.Tech and Ph.D course. Aspirants have to select their willing course and can start applying.
Aspirants willing to take admission for M.Tech course must have passed Bachelor degree of Engineering and Technology with 55% marks from a reputed University and for taking admission in Ph.D course aspirants must have passed Master degree in relevant stream from a reputed University
For M.Tech: 26 years should be the maximum age limit as on 01st July, 2016
For Ph.D: 28 years should be the maximum age limit as on 01st July, 2016
Mode of Selection
Applicants will be getting admission in DIAT Pune on basis of clearing written exam and interview.
Applicants willing to take admission in DIAT Pune have to submit application cost towards their admission process as follows:
(a) UR: 500/-
(b) SC/ST: 250/-
Payment will be done via demand draft drawn in favour of Vice Chancellor, DIAT, payable at Pune
Manner of Applying:
Firstly candidates have to submit their application form via offline mode from the official website i.e. diatonline.co.in
(b) After downloading preset format of application form, aspirants have to fill it in correct manner.
(c) Enclosure of application form and demand draft must be delivered on below mentioned address before last date.

For Ph.D – Applicants must be holding a M.E or M.Tech Degree with 55% aggregate scores or equivalent CGPA if applying for Ph.D in engineering, whereas if interested for Ph.D in Science, they must be holding a M.Sc. degree with 55% aggregate scores or equivalent CGPA.
For M.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) – BE/B.Tech in Computer Science / Electronics / Electrical / Communication / Information Technology or M.Sc. in Computer Science with 55% aggregate scores or equivalent CGPA.
For M.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) – B. E. / B. Tech degree and AMIE qualified Engineers in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering disciplines with 55% aggregate scores or equivalent CGPA from recognized university.
For M.Tech (Aerospace Engineering) – B.E./ B. Tech degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical / Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation with 55% aggregate scores or equivalent CGPA from recognized university or AESI/AMIE in respective branch of Engineering.
Selection of eligible aspirants for the aforesaid programmes will take place on the grounds of their attainment in the written entrance test held by the concerned Department and a subsequent Viva Voce. Candidates, who do not qualify this Admission Test, would not be entitled for admission in their preferred course. The preceding GATE score or UGC CSIR NET certificate will also compliment admissions.
Applicants must make sure that they do not exceed the age bar of 26 years (1st July, 2014) in any case. The candidates must follow this restriction of age very strictly for applying for admissions in DIAT. However, reserved applicants will be granted with applicable relaxation of age.
How to Apply:
Candidates accomplishing the basic necessities of their preferred course of study are supposed to fill the DIAT online Admission form through the links available on its official web page- diat.ac.in. Enter all necessary particulars accurately, submit the page and take a hard copy printed out of it. Pay the charged application fee as announced in the official notification through a DD or Bank Challan Slip and thereafter attach other required enclosures along with it. Put all these together in an envelope and send it within the prescribed last dates, to the given address:-
