The Chaudhary Devi Lal University Sirsa has been brought into existence on 2nd April 2003 by the passing of State Legislature Act 9 of 2003. The university is named after the former chief minister of Haryana and deputy prime minister of India- “Jan Nayak Chaudhary Devi Lal”. The university offers admission in 40 courses available under it through its eight faculties namely: Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Faculty of Commerce & Management, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Life Sciences and Faculty of Physical Sciences respectively.
The term end examinations of the university are conducted in the months of June/ July and November/ December respectively for all the regular courses.
