CEPT stands for the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology. Incorporated as a university in the year 2005, by Government of Gujarat and Government of India through the concerted efforts of Ahmedabad Education Society, with five faculties imparting higher education in several disciplines including the following: Agriculture, Engineering & Technology, Design and Technology Management respectively, the university has been recognized as the Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India and by University Grants Commission u/s 2 (f) in 2007.
