The Central University of Punjab Bathinda has been brought into existence by the passing of Central Universities Act 2009 on 20th March 2009. The university is considered as one of the important links to the chain of central universities set up in educationally backward areas of the country. The university provides admissions to the applicants eligible in the following courses available under the university curriculum: MA (Master of Arts) in International Studies/ Comparative Literature/ Development Economics, M.Sc (Master of Science) Biosciences/ Environmental Science & Technology /Chemical Sciences (Medicinal Chemistry), M.Tech (Master of Technology) in Computer Science & Technology, M.Pharma (Master of Pharmacy) in Pharmaceutical Sciences and LLM in Environmental Law respectively. Apart from this, the university also runs integrated programmes of M.Phil- PhD in all the above stated major disciplines.
