About:
The CFTRI is an innovative institute of Research and Development in the field of Human Resource Development, Food science and Technology . As a part of human resource development, an International School of Milling Technology was established as a cooperative Indo-Swiss venture and Roller Flour Millers’ Federation of India project during 1981 to serve the requirements of Indian flour milling industry and other developing countries with regard to training in flour milling technology.

System of Admission:
The CFTRI grants admittance to justified candidates only through their merit attained in the preceding certificate or degree examination. Possibly, preference would be decided for experience in flour milling or sponsorship by flour milling industry for restricted seats. If required, a viva voce or expertise test will be held by CSIR-CFTRI, at Mysore.
