The Banaras Hindu University invites applications from eligible students from all over the world for admissions in the Medical programmes for the academic year 2014-15. Keen and qualified candidates are requested to apply for the admissions before the last date of 23^rd March, 2014. The most important medical programmes that are offered in BHU are listed below:

Eligibility Details:

For MD/MS Programme- Candidates must have cleared their MBBS under the MCI (Medical Council of India) and also an internship training of a minimum of 1 year.

For MDS Programme- Candidates must have cleared their BDS course under the DCI (Dental Council of India) and also an internship training of a minimum of 1 year.

For BAMS Programme– Candidates must have cleared their Intermediate (10+2) from Science stream or Pre- Medical Course with not less than 50% aggregate scores in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English. Also, the age of applicants must vary between 17 to 25 years (as on 31^st December, 2013).

For MD)/ MS (Ayurveda)- Candidates must have cleared their BAMS under CCIM and minimum 6 months House Job. However, candidates who have cleared their MBBS under the MCI (Medical Council of India) and also an internship training of a minimum of 1 year can also apply.

For D.M. / M.Ch.- Candidates must have cleared their MD/MS.

For MBBS Programme- Candidates must have cleared their Intermediate (10+2) from Science stream or Pre- Medical Course with not less than 50% aggregate scores in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English. Also, the age of applicants must vary between 17 to 25 years (as on 31^st December, 2013).

 Admission Pattern:

The BHU conducts a two phased All India Competitive Written Exam held at various centers across the country for admissions in the MBBS Programme. These 2 phases comprise of:-

1. PMT- Screening

2. PMT- Main

The selection of candidates will entirely depend on their attainment in these two exams. A minimum score of 60% in the primary screening test makes candidates eligible for the main exam. The cut off for main exam may vary depending on the whole performance of the candidate. Usually, a score of 70-80% can guarantee candidates for admissions in BHU.

Application Fee:

All applicants are supposed to pay an application charge worth INR.1200/- through prescribed branches of Bank of Baroda. However, ST and SC candidates will have to pay INR.800/- only as application fee.

Application Procedure:

Aspirants, who fulfill all the requirements of their desired programme, must download the Application form from the BHU official web page (bhu.ac.in). This application form will be available for download from 24^th February, 2014 onwards. Once candidates download this application form, they are supposed to mail this duly filled and signed admission form via Registered or Speed Post to the below mentioned address, before the last date of 23^rd March, 2014 in any case:-
