AU AIMEE Admission 2014 Details of Entrance Exam and Application Procedure

The Annamalai University has announced the applications for all the eligible applicants who wish to take admissions in the different medical courses of the university through the common medical entrance exam, commonly, called as the AIMEE (All India Medical Entrance Examination). The concerned entrance exam provides admission to the applicants in different courses including the following: MBBS, BDS and B.Pharma respectively. The candidates shall be short listed in the concerned course of the university through the merit and cut off in the entrance exam as decided by the participating colleges under the AMIE 2014.

AU AMIE Admission Forms:

The candidates who wish to take admissions in the Annamalai University Medical Courses must fill their application forms in the prescribed formats and attach all the relevant documents with it to be sent to the following address:

The candidates must attach the following documents along with their application forms:

1. Mark Sheets of all the qualifying examinations

2. Certificates of all the qualifying examinations

3. Date of Birth Proof

4. Recent Passport Size Photograph to be attested in the application form

5. TC (Transfer Certificate)/ Migration in original

6. Caste Certificate (if any)

7. Valid Visa and Passport for students

8. Extra Curricular Certificates (if any) and

9. No Objection Certificate in case of working from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India respectively

Courses Availability and Number of Seats for Admission:

1. MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)- 150 Seats

2. BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)- 100 Seats

3. B.Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy)- 100 Seats

4. BPT – 30 Seats and

5. B.Sc Nursing- 100 Seats respectively

Reservation Criteria for Admissions in Annamalai University:

OC (Open Competition) – 31%

BC (Backward Class) – 26.5%

BCM (Backward Class Muslim) – 3.5%

MBC (Most Backward Class) & DNC (Denotified Communities) – 20%

SC (Scheduled Caste) – 15%

SC (Arunthathiyars) – 3% and

ST (Scheduled Tribes) – 1%

PWD Candidates – 3% respectively

Selection Criteria:

The candidates on getting same marks in the exam shall be short listed on comparing the marks in the following: 1) Marks in MD1 (Biology) in AMIE 2014, 2) Aggregate Marks in Class 12^th obtained in Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry reduced to 200 3) Marks obtained in HSE in Biology and 4) Date of Birth (elder candidate shall be given preference) respectively
