AIPVT Admission 2014-15

 The Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi recently invited applications from keen and qualified aspirants who are willing to take admission in the 5 year Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry Programme (BV.SC & AH) for the academic batch- 2014. The selections will be done through an Entrance Test conducted by the council. Therefore all aspirants are advised to go through the below mentioned particulars and proceed for the application process as soon as the next official notification is issued.

Eligibility Conditions:

All keen aspirants must have cleared their Intermediate or 10+2 examination from science stream with proficiency in English under a documented board of education or equivalent scoring not less than 50% aggregate marks.

Age Bar:

Applicants need to have attained the lowest age of 17 years if seeking admission for the above mentioned programme. Those who do not follow this age bar will not be eligible for admission.

Application Procedure:

Aspirants may proceed for application process of admissions only if they fulfill the requirements mentioned in the official admission advertisement of the Council. This information bulletin and application form can be obtained by post on payment of Rs 1600/- (Rs 850/- for SC/ST candidates) through a DD of any public bank issued in favour of “Veterinary Council of India-Examination Fund” to be paid at New Delhi from the office of Controller of Examination. Fill this form correctly in your own handwriting in BLOCK letters without any inaccuracy. Ensure that you enter all their compulsory details in the form, instructed in the information brochure. Finally, send this the duly filled form accompanied with all other crucial copies of certificates to this address:

Admission Criteria:

The selection of students for admission to this programme will entirely be based on the AIPVT (All India Pre Veterinary Test) conducted by the Veterinary Council of India scheduled on 10^th May, 2014. Eligible applicants will be selected on the grounds of their presentation in this Entrance test. Candidates, who do not qualify this Admission Test, would not be entitled for admission.

Consequent to the endorsement of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, the Central Government (Ministry of Agriculture) for the first time constituted the Veterinary Council of India on 2nd August, 1989 by nominating the Members as per the provisions of section 4 read with section 3 of the Act. Further, nominations were made by the Central Government from time to time to fill up the vacancies. The Veterinary Council of India is a body corporate and consists of 27 Members.
