AIPGMEE Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Eligibility, Marking Criteria and Modes of Examination

The All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam (AIPGMEE) is the qualifying exam for admitting students in the different post graduate level courses in the medicine and dentistry fields. The applicants participating in the AIPGMEE should go through the complete details of the paper pattern and qualifying criteria details from the information as given here below. The candidates qualifying in the concerned entrance exam will be given admissions in the Master level courses in some of the top colleges of medical education in India. This includes the AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) and similar colleges under it.

Name of Exam: AIPGMEE (All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination)

Conducting Authority: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)

Courses of Admission: MS (Master of Sciences)/ MD (Diploma in Medicine)/ MDS (Master of Dental Sciences)

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates should be Intermediate passed with the following subjects as the main subjects of study: Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology (Zoology/ Botany/ Biotechnology) respectively with the minimum qualifying marks as required for this purpose.

Pattern of Examination:

The All India PG Medical Entrance Exam is a computer based test having multiple choice based questions to be solved in the given time frame.

Total Number of Questions: 300

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours and 30 Minutes

Biophysics (5 Questions)

Syllabus of Study:

The applicants should prepare as per the syllabus prescribed by the Graduate Medical Education Regulations of the Medical Council of India (MCI). There will be no negative marking in the exam. The applicants can appear in the Forenoon /Afternoon Sessions as specified for this purpose.
