AIEEE 2015 Details of Eligibility, Selection & Application Procedure at cbse.nic.in

The All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) is now better known as JEE (Joint Engineering Entrance) Main Exam. The exam is conducted every year as an eligibility test for short listing candidates in the under graduate engineering courses (BE/ B.Tech) available in participating institutions including NITs, IIITs and other centrally aided institutions by government. The applicants qualifying JEE (Main) Exam shall also get admission in the Architecture courses available at under graduate levels.

The JEE (Main) 2015 will now be conducted for all applicants passing Intermediate in the March 2015. The dates for the exam has already been announced at the official website of JEE (Main) 2015. Recruitment Details of AIEEE/ JEE (Main) 2015-

Name of Exam: AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Exam)/ JEE Main

Conducting Organization: Central Board of Secondary Education

Courses of Admission: BE, B.Tech, B.Arch

Participating Institutions: NITs (National Institute of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology), Centrally Funded Technical Institutions

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates should have passed Class 12th in the year 2013 or 2014 or those who are appearing in the year 2015 can apply for the JEE (Main) 2015. Candidates appearing after 2015 or passing Class 12th before 2013 will not be considered as eligible in the said exam. Those applicants who have re-appeared for their Class 12th examination in the year 2013 after failing in the year 2012 can also apply for the exam mentioned.

Date of Birth Requirements:

The applicants should have been born on or after 1st October 1990 in case they belong to General Categories whereas born on or after 1st October 1985 in case they belong to SC/ ST/ PWD Categories respectively.

Scheme of Examination:

There shall be two papers in the JEE Main Exam 2015. The Paper I shall constitute objective type questions to be answered for admissions in engineering courses and Paper II for Architecture/ Planning Courses respectively.

Paper 1 (BE/ B.Tech) – Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics

Paper 2 (B.Arch/ B.Planning) – Mathematics (Part I) and Aptitude Test (Part II) & Drawing Test (Part III)

Mode of Examination: The Paper 1 shall be conducted in either of the modes online or offline modes whereas Paper 2 shall be a Pen and Paper Test exam conducted in offline modes only.

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours for each paper

Selection Procedure:

The candidates shall be required to appear in written exam conducted in offline / online modes for getting selected in courses mentioned. There shall be only three attempts provided to each candidate appearing and qualifying JEE (Main) 2015.

Application Criteria:

Online application forms can be filled online at the website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nic.in. Candidates will be required to insert the scanned images of their photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression in the online application forms. The candidates should take a print out of the computer generated acknowledgement slips after applying online for the same.

Application Fee:

For Paper 1 or Paper 2:

Rs 1000 (Boys) and Rs 500 (Girls) – General/ OBC Candidates

Rs 500 (Boys) and Rs 500 (Girls) –SC/ST/PWD Candidates

For Paper 1 & Paper 2 both:

Rs 1800 (Boys) and Rs 900 (Girls) –General and OBC Candidates

Rs 900 (Boys) and Rs 900 (Girls) – SC/ST/PWD Candidates
