NIT (National Institute of Technology) Calicut is inviting applications for various courses in different disciplines. The university was formerly known as “CREC (Calicut Regional Engineering College)” until 2002, a technical university which is federally funded & an institute of national importance. The university is administered by the Parliament of India passed act. The campus is located at north east of Kozhikode [Chathamangalam, 22 kilometres (14 mi)], The university was set up in 1961 by the Indian Government to impart standardized technical education from all over the country. Eligibility of Admission in M.Sc. Programmes:
M.Sc. Degree in Mathematics –
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Applied Mathematics or Three-main-system with Mathematics as one of the subjects with minimum 60% marks (CGPA 6.5/10 or equals to the same score).

M.Sc. Degree in Physics-
Bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% of marks/ CGPA 6.5/10 or equals to the same score, Mathematics as a subsidiary and Physics as main subject / Physics & Mathematics among the core subjects.
M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry –
Graduation Degree having chemistry as main subject and mathematics as one of the subsidiary subject OR Graduation Degree via Math, Physics & Chemistry securing minimum 60% marks.
Cost of Registration:
A DD of Rs 600/- for Open & OBC and Rs 300/- for SC/ST Candidates drawn in favour of THE DIRECTOR NIT CALICUT and payable at Calicut is to be paid by the candidates who are applying.
Selection Criteria:
Candidates will get selected on the basis of Merit in Entrance / Interview held at the Institute.
