GPTU Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Entrance Exam and Selection Criteria

GPTU is the entrance exam conducted by the Gautam Buddha University for inviting admissions to the under graduate courses including the integrated dual degree programmes as available in the university curriculum. The candidates will be required to appear in the written test as scheduled to be held by the university for this purpose as per the directions of university. The candidates who are preparing for the concerned entrance exam can go through the details of eligibility including courses coming under its purview and syllabus respectively for appearing in the concerned exam.

GPTU 2014 Exam Details:

The GPTU is the written test held for admission of candidates in the under graduate courses of the university. The entrance exam for the current session i.e. 2014-15 is scheduled to be held in the first week of May for different courses of the university.

Courses for Admission by GPTU 2014-

Integrated Dual Degree Programme in the following:

1. B.Tech + M.Tech/ MBA in Engineering

Course Code: U01

Eligibility: Intermediate in the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics

2. BBM + MBA

Course Code: U03

Eligibility: Intermediate from any recognized Boards of India

3. B.Tech + M.Tech/ MBA in Food Processing and Technology

Course Code: U04

Eligibility: Intermediate in the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics

4. BA + LLB

Course Code: U05

Eligibility: Intermediate from any recognized Boards of India

5. B.Tech + M.Tech/ MBA in Biotechnology

Course Code: U06

Eligibility: Intermediate in the following subjects: Biology/ Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.

Exam Pattern for GPTU 2014:

There will be an objective type entrance exam having questions on the following topics as per the course for which application has been made.

For B.Tech + M.Tech/ MBA in Engineering-

Mathematics (Intermediate Level): 40% Weightage

Chemistry (Intermediate Level): 30% Weightage

Physics (Intermediate Level): 30% Weightage

For BBM + MBA-

Reasoning and Aptitude: 30% Weightage

Mathematical Ability: 30% Weightage

English Proficiency: 20% Weightage

General Awareness: 20% Weightage

For B.Tech + M.Tech/ MBA Course-

Biology/ Mathematics (Intermediate Level): 40% Weightage

Chemistry (Intermediate Level): 30% Weightage

Physics (Intermediate Level): 30% Weightage

For BA LLB Course-

Reasoning: 30% Weightage

Legal Aptitude: 30% Weightage

English Proficiency: 20% Weightage

General Awareness: 20% Weightage

For B.Tech + M.Tech/ MBA in Biotechnology-

Biology/ Mathematics (Intermediate Level): 40% Weightage
