Central Excise is inviting application for the post of Excise Inspector

Qualifying Exam :Those who have cleared the preliminary and main exam of the excise inspector test can turn out to be excise inspectors. Aspirants who pass the preliminary test will be qualified for the mains. There will be a personality test also along with the main written examination. Excise inspectors are paid remunerations according to the norms of the Central Government. They can expect salaries in range of Rs.10000/- within India. However, it will change with the new pay commissions. They are also given certain allowances additionally being a Central Government employee.

Who is eligible to apply?

Graduates in any discipline are qualified for the test. However, they should have completed the course from a recognized University or institute. Aspirants must have attained the age of 18 years and should not exceed 27 years of age. There is considerable reduction in age for the OBC and SC/ST aspirants. Those who are pursuing the final year of the qualifying exam are also qualified for the test.

How to prepare for exam and interview?

Aspirants are required to have top to bottom awareness in the qualifying exam curriculum so as to clear the test. As the test comprises of questions on common intelligence, awareness and Mathematics, they can purchase specialized books on the test from bookstores. Working out problems, fixing a time may really help them in attending the mains. They can also self-evaluate their papers so as to get rid of the exam fears and in identifying their weaker portions.
